How to Import a Script Into Softaculous

This tutorial will teach you how to import a script into Softaculous. If you already have one of the scripts in Softaculous installed, you can import it so it can be managed within Softaculous.

Start by going to the Softaculous main screen, and finding the script you want to import in the list in the left hand window. Click on the name of the program. This will open an overview of the program in the Softaculous main screen right hand window. In the tabs at the top, find the one called Import, and click on it.

In the Import Software window, there are a couple of boxes to fill in. The first will ask for the domain where the software is installed. If you have multiple domains, choose the domain from the pull-down list. Second, you need to let it know what the directory is for the software. When you are ready, click on Import.

In a few moments, the congratulations screen will appear to let you know that the software has been successfully imported. There is a link to your newly imported site, and one to the admin panel. That concludes this tutorial. Now you know how to import scripts already installed into Softaculous for management.
